Ron Aseltine has practiced law since 1980. He graduated from the University of Maine in 1977 (with High Distinction and Honors), and obtained his law degree from The George Washington University in 1980. He was first admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1980, where he served as in-house counsel to Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and later for State Mutual Life Insurance Company. During this time he also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University in 1988. He was admitted to the Maine Bar in 1988, and can practice before all state and federal courts in Maine.
Ron commenced private practice in Wilton, Maine in 1990 and opened his own solo practice in 1991, expanding his office to include Livermore Falls in 1996.
Ron is an active community member, currently serving on the Board of Directors of Franklin Memorial Hospital, and as the Moderator for the Town of Wilton. Ron also is a volunteer attorney for the Maine Rural Domestic Violence Project. Ron has also served as President of the Farmington Ski Club (Titcomb Mountain), President of the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce and President of the Wilton Lions Club. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of Androscoggin Bank’s Main Street Foundation, and the Wilton Free Public Library. He has participated as a Boy Scout Leader and a Wilton youth sports volunteer.
